Groomingdales Dog Salon Policies and Procedures 

Current Vaccinations: To vaccinate or not is a personal choice of the owner. Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC recommends any vaccines that the pet’s veterinarian recommends. Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC may not ask for proof of vaccinations. However, by signing this contract, you (the owner) agree that if you do not properly vaccinate your pet(s), YOU are responsible for any health risks that your pet(s) may come into contact with and you, the owner, agree not to hold Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC responsible for any illness contracted by your pet(s) while in the salons’ care.


Accidents: Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when dealing with animals.  Grooming equipment is sharp, and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when an animal is wiggling or moving around.  Your pet’s safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident. If Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC feels it is serious, and the owner is not on-site, Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC will seek immediate veterinary care for your pet with our neighbor, Miramar Animal Clinic. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner upon signing this contract/agreement unless the injury or illness is a direct result of negligence of Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC staff.

Fleas/Ticks: Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC strives to be a flea-free salon. If your pet has any fleas they will be given a flea bath at your expense of $10 - $20 (depending on size of dog). If you do not want your pet to be treated you can re schedule your pet’s appointment after the problem is taken care of by you ONLY if the fleas are noticed before you leave from dropping off your pet.

Dangerous or Aggressive Animals-Refusal of Services: In the event that your pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC may stop and/or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after grooming and the pet owner will be charged a grooming fee. If a groomer is bit we are required by the state to report the incident. Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC cares for the well-being of your dog, and wants to prevent this in every way. Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC does not force what your dog is not comfortable with; no exceptions. One bite can put a groomer out of work forever. The pet owner must inform Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC if your dog bites, has bitten or is aggressive to people, other animals or specific grooming procedures. If the dog bites someone or another animal while in the care of Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC, the pet owner agrees to be responsible for any and all medical bills, recovery costs, and loss of income.

Cancellations, No Shows & Late Drop Offs: Because we book on an hourly basis and cancellations can leave an empty block in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer, we ask that any salon cancellations are made at least 48 business hours in advance (Thanksgiving and Christmas week is a 3 business day notice). No-Call No-Shows will be charged the full grooming price which will be added to your next ticket. We understand EMERGENCIES happen and will try to work with you, but not on a continuous basis. NOTE: Tardy clients (more than 15 minutes late to their apt) will be “fit in” during the same day at the groomers’ convenience or rescheduled if the groomers schedule will not allow for completion of the pet.  

Satisfaction: Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, we will be happy to make any adjustments when you pick-up your pet from his/her appointment. Once, however, you take your pet home from the appointment, any return visits will be treated as a new appointment and client will be charged a grooming fee.

Late pick up fees: We ask that you pick up your pet within one hour of receiving our call that your pet is ready, due to limited cage space. We hope you understand that like you, we have family and plans after we leave our salon. We do know that “things happen” and therefore we give you a 10 minute cushion past our closing hour to pick up your furry baby. Anything past the 10 minute cushion we charge $1/minute/pet for every minute you are late past close of business. If your pet is not picked up by the time Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC closes for the day, boarding fees ($75/night/pet) for EACH pets night’s stay will be added at the pet owner’s expense. The facility is not licensed for day care or boarding, therefore Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC cannot willing offer these services.

Photographs: This release form authorizes Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC to take photos of your pet for client file and for company website and Facebook page. All photos taken are the property of Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC. Client information is kept private.

Appointment Confirmation: Upon scheduling an appointment, you the client, are agreeing to the date and time you approved. Appointment reminders are sent out 48 hours prior to appointment as a courtesy to all client. A “Y” (yes) reply is not required to confirm as the confirmation was done when the appointment was made. If you cannot make your schedule appointment, you agree to inform Groomingdales Dog Salon LLC by CALL/TEXT 48 hours prior to appointment. Appointments canceled less then 48 hours are subject to a fee up to the price of the groom/bath.
